This is a lighting experiment in Unreal 5. Inspired by the hypnotic lighting that airports/planes have I wanted to replicate it on an old model using Unreal 5's Lumen capabilities. I am responsible for all aspects of this project, including the audio which I scored in FL Studio by editing NASA radio recordings and adding noise that was recorded from Saturn and Jupiter. I used sequencer to animate the lighting setup, and a basic synth in FL Studio to make the (subtle) sound that the lights might emit. This project isn't optimized, there are about 3 million tris, and over 10 stationary lights in the scene and volumetric fog. In spite of all that it ran at about 40-50 FPS on my PC, which I think is demonstrative of UE5's optimization capabilities especially when it comes to lights.
